“Cloverdale Park Courts” Air Force Ones Baltimore City Series

This weekend, Nike released the first edition of the City Series Air Force Ones. No better way to start off the tour of the three cities than to begin with Baltimore. If the Air Force 1 had a story, Baltimore was where the shoe was reborn and thrived.
Surprising to many, the Air Force Ones were not a shoe for casual use in the beginning, but rather the standard for all great basketball shoes on the court. Cloverdale Park Courts was one of the places where one could find Air Force Ones put to work on a Saturday afternoon. Nike honored this park and the courts where the shoes were used for the past 25 years by releasing Cloverdale Park Courts edition Air Force Ones.
Just like the old days, these have a mesh side panel and white midsole. Contrast stitching on the outsole provides a good tie in of all the colors on the shoes. On the tongue, the Cloverdale Parks logo is used as well as on the insole. Nike will also be donating $10,000 plus royalties to the City of Baltimore Park’s division to help give back to a city that has given so much love to the Air Force Ones.
A men’s (left) and women’s (right) colorway was made for this release. For just $80, these make a great pair for the summer. Pics taken while visiting our local spot, Motive807.
