“Chicken Run” New Balance 1400
| One hundred and two years ago, an English immigrant by the name of William J. Riley founded New Balance in Cambridge, MA. Though not planning to create one of the top athletic footwear companies a century later, Riley was determined to help improve our balance with his arch supports. Riley’s inspiration came from his humble surroundings of a chicken yard where he observed that the 3-clawed bird had perfect balance. His hope - that his designs inspired by the chicken’s foot could provide “new balance” to his customers.
Next month, New Balance is releasing the “Chicken Run” 1400 that pays respects to the company’s foundation by using representative details throughout the shoe. Across the toe cap and continuing down the side of the shoe depicting a chicken morphing into a runner. These sneakers are constructed down the road from Cambridge, MA in the New England factories of New Balance - that’s right, Made in USA. Look for these beginning April 1st for $150 at premier New Balance retailers. |

These are really nice. I am so happy to know that my money is going to a good quality sneaker and also to an American.
Props to New Balance for doing their part to keep jobs in the USA and create more jobs with the Super Team 33 project.
Nike, Adidas, Puma, please take notice…

It’s good these are made in the US, but I still wont copp. The brown throws it off for me and it seems “empty” on the heel…..something else should be there besides a little NB logo.
The detail is crazy on them, tho. I just dont like the colors, personally.

This color is a little tired - the gray and purple is the best color - far and away.
