KISS x Vans Sk8 Hi Ace Frehley
|
Ace Frehley, is a lead guitarist and original member of the rock band Kiss founded by Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley. “Space Ace” as he was known, now has his own shoe thanks to this upcoming collaboration release, the KISS x Vans Sk8 Hi. The legendary rockers have also used the classic album cover for Dressed to Kill as inspiration for the 2nd of these Kiss X Vans Sk8 Hi. No release date has been set for these yet, but just like the album back in 1975, they’ll surely Rock n’ Roll all night when they drop. Check out the photos after the jump. Info via mashKulture. |
Vans Syndicate X Steve Olson V79
|
If you have ever set foot on a skateboard before, you need to know who Steve Olson is. If you have ever heard of Powell Peralta, Bones or Santa Cruz then you might want to keep reading for a little history lesson. Steve Olson was one of the skateboarders that laid the foundation for these companies. He was a sponsored rider for these companies before most of you were born. In fact he was essentially, a sponsored rider for Powell Peralta back before the company was even formed! |
Vans Sk8-Hi Cargo
The Vans Sk8-Hi just resurfaced with a unique feature. In two different colorways, beige and camo, the Sk8-Hi now feature a spacious pocket on the side of the sneaker. If you recall, the Chad Muska sneakers had a secret stash on the shoe for keeping…well…whatever you’d like to keep in there. I don’t know if you would want to keep an illegal stash in these sneakers because it wouldn’t really be a secret! Like all classic Vans, these sport a durable vulcanized sole. The Sk8-Hi Cargo are now in stores at a retail price of $85. Thanks to CtotheJL.com for the pic. |
Classic Kicks x Vans Midschool ‘77

New York’s Classic Kicks has teamed up with Vans for a collaboration that illustrates their passion for timeless sneakers. Rather than applying a new colorup or new material to an existing model in the Vans catalog, the Classic Kicks team asked if Vans could bring back a model that they spotted in a Vans ad from years ago.
For colors, Classic Kicks went with the original blue color as well as added a historically consistent red. The materials used on the shoes are much closer to the original shoes than many of the remakes of other Vans shoes. The Classic Kicks x Vans Midschool ‘77 will go on sale Saturday, September 6th exclusively at Classic Kicks in the US for $80 per pair. Other shops across the globe receiving stock will be Patta of Amsterdam, collete of Paris, and essence of Yokohama. Pics and info thanks to Hype Beast.

Silas x Vans Sk8-Hi
In celebration of their 10th Anniversary, Silas has gotten together with Vans to created a co-labeled Sk8-Hi. Silas’ “S” logo is tastefully repeated on the stripe across the shoe along with subtle placement on the tongue and heel of the sneaker. Overall, a very attractive and wearable sneaker - something rare these days for collabs. Photo and info from High Snobiety. |
WTAPS Vans Syndicate Bash
|
The Vans Syndicate series has combined the legacy of Vans footwear with the collaborative input of artists and designers. For the Syndicate Season 008, one of the greatest pieces was a new shoe all itself - not just a reinterpretation of a familiar silhouette. The Bash (BAsketball SHoe) has started delivering to doors along with the rest of the Vans Syndicate collection. Find out if your local spot will be receiving the goods at the official Vans Syndicate website. |
Vans Sk8-Hi Fall ‘08
Vans is far from running out of original concepts on their classic Sk8-Hi silhouette. This fall they have two special themes for the shoe - one with dripping paint and another that takes their classic checkerboard concept to new heights. Check them all out after the jump.
