Nike SB Dunk Mid “Aqua Fuel”
The Dunk Mid has had a bit of an interesting story to tell. It first hit the scene (and outlets) in 2004 not sitting well with consumers who were unfamiliar to its shape and questionable colorways. A few years later the Dunk Mid returned in the Nike SB lineup with an added strap and was quickly adopted by skaters - the ones who actually SKATE in their SBs. The mid cut provides better ankle support and partner the higher rise with the strap and you have a shoe that will not leave your feet.
Though the Dunk Mid was part of the “Three Bears Pack,” there haven’t been many colorways that have been a major hit with sneaker fans…until now. Set for next month is the “Aqua Fuel” Dunk SB Mid that popped up early and has nearly sold out on Active. The shoes will be in regular SB spots in August with a sticker price of $85. Heads up thanks to TheShoeGame. |
Nike Dunk High SB “un-Futura”
Nike SB posts nearly all their goodies on their official site, but sometimes gems slip through the cracks and unfortunately out of our reach as well. This is the case for a Dunk High SB that has made its way to the UK skate shop Mischief.
The colors are pretty basic, but unmistakably similar to the 2003 Dunk Low Futura - you might have heard of him |
Nike SB Dunk High “Shoe Goo”
Overseas the “Shoe Goo” Dunk Highs have popped up at a few locations, but it looks like we are going to have to wait a while for this release. This premium SB is said to release in September Stateside and in Europe.
The sole of the dunk is a semi-translucent material that resembles the sticky clear cement that comes out the metal tube ready to fix any destroyed shoe. Shoe Goo has long been a tool of repair for the separation of a shoe’s sole from the upper courtesy of grip tape. We will keep you posted with any further updates we receive about this sneaker. Nike Dunk Hi “Shoe Goo”
Ever used Shoe Goo to help your shoes to get more use of them? Nike SB made a shoe based on the magical slime, with red leather white stitching a blue canvas and buttery clear midsole. The shoe is a premium release this month so check your local Nike SB accounts for info on when these drop. Thanks to Arktz for the Pictures. |
Nike SB July 2008 Lineup
|
Nike SB has just posted their lineup for July. There aren’t any hyped or amped products with cheeky inspirations or nicknames, but some solid colorups such as a royal blue/black Blazer low. Check out all the shoes after the jump. |
Nike SB Dunk Hi “Marge Simpson”
A new Dunk Hi from Nike SB has popped up on the net and making rounds around the boards. It’s all suede shoe with light blue, deep yellow and light green swoosh which in essence made people dub it the “Marge Simpson”. It is said to be a July release but more information will come out soon about this mysterious dunk. Pictures from Nike-Fo-sho of ISS |
Nike SB “Gold Trickstar” Dunks & Blazers
|
BMX will make its Olympic Debut later this summer in the 2008 Beijing Games. To welcome the latest “action sport” turned medal sport Nike SB has assembled two pairs of sneakers. DQM had a hand in the project of transforming the Dunk SB and Blazer SB to resemble the original gold Trickstar bike that at the time was the most expensive BMX bike in 1986. The sport has undergone a major transformation in the past two decades and the attention to the sport has never been so high. This weekend the “Trickstar” Dunks and Blazers will release at DQM in NYC as well as other select SB shops nationwide. Dave’s Quality Meat |
