Nike Air Zoom Flight 95 “Olympic”

Nike Air Zoom Flight 95 OlympicNike could not have timed the announcement of the 2008 Olympic Squad any better - unless they had a hand in it.

Jason Kidd was one of the twelve players selected to play on Team USA for the 2008 Olympic Games later this summer in Beijing earlier this week when the official selections were announced. This week the Nike Air Zoom Flight 95 is making it way to retail doors in a colorway that one could just picture on the feet of Kidd. Only time will tell if Kidd chooses to relive his younger years when he won the co-Rookie of the Year wearing this shoe.

Nike Zoom Flight 96

Nike Zoom Flight 96 Grey

The US Olympic squad was just announced earlier this week which reminded us of the gool ol’ days when Team USA was guaranteed Gold. In the 1996 Games Team USA had some amazing talent, but also some great kicks even though MJ took the summer off. Young talent Penny Hardaway had plenty of his own signature shoes to wear but instead laced up in the Zoom Flight 96 in Atlanta.

An original colorway of the Zoom Flight 96 was just knocked down in price to $69.99 which is a substantial 40% off of the sticker price. It seems like everyday there are deals on great kicks thanks to the market getting flooded. Get all the details on these at Daily Drop.

First Look: Nike Air Penny III Retro

Nike Air Penny III Retro

Breaking news just in at Nice Kicks!

Now that you guys know the Nike Air Penny II will be coming out this fall, get ready for the completion of your Penny line to arrive shortly as well. The Nike Air Penny III will be making it’s return to stores in 2009 slated for a spring release! As of now the two original color ways have been confirmed and will make their way to retail doors.

The Nike Air Penny III was the third numbered signature shoe that he wore in the NBA not counting the infamous Nike Air Foamposite. Like the Foamposite the Penny III featured a Posite upper that had a “liquid” appearance giving the shoe that nickname. The Penny III came in just two colorways back in the day, that saw the court very few times. In the early part of the 1997-98 season, Penny suffered a career altering knee injury that has been operated on a total of five times to date. Despite being sidelined early on, Lil Penny and fans brought Penny to the All Star Game where many criticized him for coming back too soon to play on the battered knee.

Stay up to date with Nice Kicks as we will keep you posted with any additional info, release dates, or updates about the Nike Air Penny III retro. Much thanks to Chicago’s Mayor for the shots.

“Eggplant” Nike Flightposite & Nike Foamposite

Eggplant Nike Flightposite and Nike Foamposite

Nike has taken famous colorways of retro models and applied them to other retro sneakers that have pulled off quite well. This past summer we saw not only Air Force Ones, but also Court Forces that sported the color tones of classic Air Max kicks. While we will see the anticipated second coming of the “Eggplant” Nike Air Flightposites in October, the original posite shoe, the Nike Air Foamposite, will release next February dressed in this color up as well.

As with other Foamposites the retail price will be $200, but given the color, comfort, and quality of the Foamposite, there shouldn’t be many gripes. Since Nike is bringing back the Flightposite this year in a slew of original colorups, perhaps could we see the Carbon Fiber joints? Please Nike…? Foamposite pic from SC.

Nike Air Flight Lite High

Nike Air Flight Lite High 91 Scottie PippenEarlier this week we gave you a preview of the upcoming Nike Air Pippen retros, but another shoe that Pippen wore in the earlier part of his career will return this fall. In the 1990-91 NBA season, Scottie Pippen represents Team Flight by wearing the Nike Air Flight Lite High for most of the season. While many remember the Jordan 6 for being the shoe MJ won his first ring, many forget that it was the Air Flight Lite on the feet of Scottie Pippen when he got his taste of ultimate victory.

Besides being remembered for being on Pippen’s feet, something that many vintage sneaker collectors remember the Air Flight Lite was for having a few bright color ways. For the shoes return the shoe will debut with “citron” accents in October followed by a colorway we could have expected to see Scottie wear in November with a box price of $110.
