DJ Clark Kent’s Black Friday

DJ Clark Kent's Black FridayBlack Friday was a movie.

Something that has never been done was accomplished. Three cities, three stores, in one day. All for what? The release of DJ Clark Kent’s “Black Friday” Nike Air Force 1. Never mind the 1600 miles flown or running across the east coast with no sleep, 300 pairs of kicks sold out between the three cities in a combined time equivalent to 3 Hollywood films.

After the business of selling shoes was through, DJ Clark Kent took control of the 1’s and 2’s and thus control of the party in South Beach to finish off the day 24 hours after it all began.

One shoe, three cities, in one day. It was a movie.

Check out more details of each stop that DJ Clark Kent made while Nice Kicks tagged along exclusively for the journey.

“Black Friday” Nike Air Force 1 Detailed Shots

Black Friday Nike Air Force 1 Detailed ShotsDJ Clark Kent’s “Black Friday” Nike Air Force 1 made its world debut at the Nike Sportswear flagship store on Mercer Street in New York City at 4AM today. The shoe goes above and beyond what anyone could ever imagine with black pony hair covering most of the upper with other cosmetic accents that include lenticular material on the back panel, swoosh, and tongue as well as an unmistakable mid-sole wrap made of black patent leather with a chameleon paint effect. The shoe is finished off with with a leather lined interior giving the ultimate luxurious touch to compliment the outer part of the shoe.

Taking the Black Friday theme to heart, DJ Clark Kent arranged with Nike Sportswear to retail this sneaker at just $150. With the cost of materials and the fact that the shoes are an inside/out supreme model, this should retail for $300.

We could continue to go on and on about the shoes, but let the pics speak for themselves after the jump.

Release Reminder: “Black Friday” Air Force 1

DJ Clark Kent Black Friday Air Force 1In case you haven’t been reading the site for the past week, AF1 fanatic DJ Clark Kent and Nike have teamed up for one incredible release dropping tomorrow - the “Black Friday” Air Force 1. So far no photos have been released of the shoes other than one teaser shot that we posted earlier. What we can tell from the shot is that the Air Force Ones appear to have black pony hair on the toe cap and be predominantly black.

Clark indicated to us in a quick casual conversation that he “wants to bring the fun back to sneakers” and you might say he has. In front of the Mercer St. Nike Sportswear store, Concepts in Boston, and Shoe Gallery in Miami, there are dozens of people waiting in a line that they have never seen. No one knows how the shoes will look, the price, anything. Just that this will be a release that will be talked about for ages.

DJ Clark Kent, the man behind the madness, is jet setting tomorrow on Black Friday to visit the three shops mentioned above. He will be live for the 4AM release at Nike Sportswear, 10AM release at Concepts, and 8PM for the special “Black Carpet” release at Shoe Gallery. This is sure to be an incredible day…wouldn’t it be great if someone could video tape this whole thing?!
