Every year the Kobe line pays homage to the the roots of the Los Angeles Lakers franchise by making a Minneapolis color way of the shoe. Here is the first picture of the “MLPS” color way of the Zoom Kobe IV, thanks to shox2001 for the picture from Niketalk. |
Premium Goods x Nike Zoom Kobe 1 Video
SneakrAddicts have been in person at some of NYC’s biggest releases recently compiling footage for an upcoming DVD. Last Friday the team was live and in person at the release of the Premium Goods x Nike Zoom Kobe 1 where only 8 pairs were up for grabs at the Brooklyn shop. Check out the video about the kicks and interviews about the release.
Nike Zoom Kobe I Premium Goods Release Detail
So it was a momentous day and the small premium goods shop when they were releasing the long awaited legendary shoe that finally arrived. People camped out but it gets real old in these days in these times when you see a line with people who really have no business buying a shoe like this. Our good friend SoleSurpeme of Lockeroomkicks.com had the inside story on how the raffle went down and the drama that ensued. I personally applaud the way it was handled and the release was a great success. Shout to Premium Goods and check out the videos and pictures at Locker Room Kicks.

Premium Goods x Nike Zoom Kobe 1 Release
Tomorrow will see a ton of shoe drops, but for a shop in Brooklyn, NY and Houston, TX, tomorrow will see one of the most memorable releases. Premium Goods will release their Nike Zoom Kobe 1 that they designed more than two years ago during the NBA All-Star Weekend in Houston, TX. A select handful of stores took part in the competition and while the public voted for Nort’s design, Kobe himself selected Premium Goods’ design as his personal favorite.
Only 8 pairs will release at each location tomorrow making it to date, one of the most limited Kobe releases ever. For the special release a commemorative wooden box and custom dust bag were made for the shoes for safe keeping. Playing off of the “8″ theme of the shoe, tomorrow, 08.08.08 would mark no better date for the release of the current MVP’s first signature shoe with Nike. Each pair will retail for $444 which may seem like a lot to many, but only a drop in the bucket compared to a pair that just sold on eBay for $1,950. The Premium Goods shop in Brooklyn will sell the shoes by raffle. To get in the mix, visit the Premium Goods shop to put your name in the hat. The Houston location does have a lineup, but currently several people deep so the sooner you get down there, the better. Posted after the jump are detailed photos of the shoes from 3peat. |
Nike Zoom Kobe IV Live Pictures
Some new pictures of Nike’s Zoom Kobe IV have arisen and we have them here at Nice Kicks. Here are live pics of the White/Black-Varsity Purple and the Black/White-Del Sol color ways. Both are great for pairing with a Lakers jersey, but will there be an Olympic pair that Kobe will bust out this summer in Beijing? I guess we will have to keep our eyes glued to NBC this month.
These color ways of the Zoom Kobe IV are releasing early 2009. Thanks to Kenlu.net once again for the pictures of the these future releases from the Kobe line. |

He really got up close shots of the shoe and wrote about them in his personal blog on the site.
