Gucci Inspired Sneakers

Watching trends in the sneaker industry is like being back in calculus class. Ups and downs are the only thing that is consistent. Lately, it’s been the “Gucci” colorway that is the craze. The green, red, green, is finding it’s way onto shoes made by Nike, Reebok, Fila and other suspects. Most recently Crooks & Castles and Vans teamed up for a couple of Gucci inspired sneakers.

Some styles seem to stretch for years, across brands, and seem to always have followers. Nothing has been as consistently popular as elephant print from Nike, it has been a staple in the shoe game for years, but the “Gucci” releases seem to keep coming with no end in sight.

Over the last few years, Sneaker Collaborations have become one of, if not the hottest trend in sneakers. We all love to see our favorite shop team up with a manufacturer and drop some serious heat. Everything from mild to wild, from exclusive to general release, has stemmed from the collaborative efforts of stores and manufacturers.

We’ve recently seen one of the biggest and boldest collab projects come to a close, the Adidas aZX Project. Which got us wondering, what shops have had the best collaborations of all time? We took into account things like, variety of companies worked with, shoe popularity, creativity, and number of collaborations. Dunxchange Miami Recap & Pictures

Nike Air Griffey MaxAfter a momentous day of early morning driving, rainy day, kicks, and stabbings the Dunkxchange in Miami yesterday was once again a good outing. Over 700 guest came out on a rainy day in South Florida and over 40 vendors at the event. One weird sidenote is a stabbing occurred right outside the DXC and the news channels were all over the story. Aside from that the crowd was pleased with the amount of deals inside and the warm atmosphere that always brings people together at these types of gatherings. Always a place where you can meet the people who share the same type of passion that you have.

Among the highlights of the festivities were the tons of free shirts given away on stage. A pair of Tiffany Snakeskin Supras to the most beat up shoe in the building, the beat up shoes were a highlight themselves. A 50’s something man owning a pair of Air Force 1 Playstations 2’s and the DJ and Lex one from Major League keeping the scene Hip Hop elemental!
