Born in Orange County in 2002, Creative Recreation was created by three individuals who found a void in the sneaker market. Either one could wear dress shoes which only would look right with a suit or one could wear athletic inspired sneakers which were far too casual for the functions of their lifestyle. No one was making shoes for young professionals with style. The three teamed up and have forever changed the footwear game.
By taking the dressy look of dress shoes and taking the style and comfort of sneakers, the three founders fused the two styles of shoes together to develop a line of footwear they themselves would wear day in and day out. Many have a hard time categorizing the Creative Recreation line. The founder have responded, “We don’t want to be put into any category, we’re a footwear company! We make shoes for our life style, rather we make shoes for life with style.”
