Since its official debut during All-star week, players around the league have really expressed a liking for the new Nike Air Huarache Pro Low. Those who were avid wearers of the Nike Air Huarache 2K4 and 2KFresh found the transition to the newest silhouette a seamless one. Royals pitcher Jeremy Guthrie took to his Instagram account to state this about the Huarache Pro Low: “They’re the most comfortable spikes ever, hands down.”

Last Thursday, Washington Nationals pitcher Gio Gonzalez held his first annual Gio Gonzalez Foundation Camp at Cabin John Regional Park in Bethesda, MD. The clinic featured special guests, such as the Nats own Denard Span and Wilson Ramos, in an effort to raise money for children and families in need of medical assistance. Pittsburgh third baseman Pedro Alvarez decided to dig deep into his closet, wearing the Air Jordan 4 White/Tour Yellow during warm-ups on Friday. Alvarez’s teammate Russell Martin continued his streak of bringing hardwood cleats to the field as he once again wore his cleated version of the Nike Kobe 8. With All-Star festivities leaving most of baseball with a short week, players decided to bring heat to the diamond as they started the second half of the season.
