The Adidas Grün Forum Mid 2009 continues on in the ground breaking form that the Adidas Grün Collection started this year.
The Forum Mid has been a solid performer in the Adidas line up for years, for 2009 it takes the higher road and becomes more socially and environmentally conscious. The colorway features a white and grey with a speckled gum bottom. Adidas Originals Kazuki Collection
The Originals by Originals continues to bring unique collaborators together with Adidas. Next up in the project is Japanese designer, Kazuki, of Fragment Design.
The Adidas Originals Kazuki Collection follows the same pattern the Jeremy Scott collection took with a number of sneakers and a collection of clothing. Kazuki chose very simple colorways, sticking to four main colors, and only a few silhouettes. He feels his collection suits him and the audience his collection appeals to. The Kazuki Collection, along with other Originals by Originals collaborations, will be available at select retailers in February. Nike SB Dunk Mid Beijing X Triumvir X Fly
As the Nike Dunk SB’s continue to drop, we have spotted a very peculiar yet creative style on the web. Recently, Triumvir founder Brandon Cheng was given full control over the design of this latest Nike creation dubbed the Nike SB Dunk Mid “Beijing”. Thanks to China skate shop Fly, Cheng was offered the role of sneaker designer.
The theme of the shoe was based on a Beijing native’s view of their own city. With that said, this sneaker possesses many detailed features inspired by Beijing’s icons including dust, noodles, traffic, highways and Tiananmen Square. Check out more detailed pics of this sneaker plus a blueprint of its manufacturing after the jump. Via Hypebeast. |
BJ Betts x Adidas Skateboarding
For 2009, Adidas Skateboarding has teamed up with tattoo artist BJ Betts. BJ is an incredible tattoo artist out of Delaware, known in the industry for his Tattoo Letter Guide. You can see his skills in shoe design are as on point as the needles he uses in his tattoo work.
The two colorways of these upcoming Adidas Skate models are pretty simple, it’s the intricate details that set them above the rest, just like you’d expect from a skilled tattoo artist. The low tops feature an eastern style dragon that you would usually find inked on someone’s skin. They also feature hints and outlines of coy fish on the insole. The grey/black-yellow colorway feature tribal designs on the heel along with an angel wing silhouette and rose, which are some of the more popular tattoo style. Would you rather have your kicks tattooed or your skin? For 2009 it looks like kicks. Via AdiNEWS. |
