Bun B on set with Air Jordan 6 Rings
 On the set of a video shoot for II Trill’s second single, “You Are Everything”, Bun B took a quick moment to show us that he is a fan of the Jordan 6 Rings.
This colorway of the Jordan 6 Rings will release August 16th, but of course pairs hit VIPs before the drop date. In the video Bun B wears several other pairs of hot sneakers as well as a collaboration he did with a streetwear brand that we can’t really talk about just yet. Photo sent in by SF2. I actually like the six rings so far…can’t wait to get a view of them up close (like in my closet) but i’m sure my opinion won’t change…

^ the “shady sellers” had a hard time selling them from what I heard. There are TONS floating around NYC selling for not much above retail right now. I am guessing they lifted more than the market was interested in.

You are on point about that. I just had to shake my head this week when Lil Bow Wow (you’re still a kid to me, son) proclaimed himself to be the “King of Jordans.” No matter how big a collection one has, calling yourself the King of anything without earning it is weak.
Bun B and Pimp C ARE kings of the underground and royalty to the Southern rap game - and this is coming from a cat in Brooklyn. Both Bun and Pimp earned their titles and respect - they didn’t go to a trophy shop to give themselves a title like Bow Wow just did.
All in all, it shows the difference between dudes who are real and who ARE hip hop and the other cats who just milk off of the culture established by those who came before them.
Bun, keep doing your thing my man. I know you respect everything you touch and keep it TRILL.

Im actually sold on these…most time UGLY sneaks only look good on little feet - but BUN B by far has at least a 12 and these still look TUFF!! Im officially turned on to these kicks…I was going to pass…but Ill mess with it!

Not really feelin the 6 rings. With the bred 11s coming out in December it doesn’t make sense to waste money on this strange release. I prefer Spizikes to be honest

i’m not old. the jordan brand got more years on me!! but it’s all on da taste of dat person. i rather have the shoes seprate than jus to have em combine. i jus see it as, why settle 4 less when can get the best? it’s like when someone remakes a classic song. some people like the remake some like the og. all these fusions n six rings r cool for the kids or whoever like em. but u gotta stick 2 doing u. i don’t get y sum people don’t luv af1′z, but i don’t call them haters! people r 2 quick 2 use dat word when someone doesn’t agree wit them.

Mizzdette….I read alot of forums and most heads I know in NYC dont like fusions or Six rings. Every time I ask why they respond with it sacrilege to desecrate any of the OG’s. To me, I think they just say that to justify spends 5 bills at Flight Club on a pair of XI’s. Or to show how old school they are
To me I agree with the Puffy idea with sneakers. Sometimes sampling is wack, but this shoe is a homerun to me.

im sorry i still think these arnt right wether bun b is wearing them or not the only reason why anyone would get them is prob. because of the xi look from the top
anyways the patent leather looks hella bootleg from this view it doesnt look like they used the same material from the xi and those infared 1s… damn jb is ruining their own creation ive been only collecting js for a year n a half so i missed out on alot i think they should bring back the classics the RIGHT WAY and not all F’d up(new olympic vi,vii, fusions, corny retro colorway)

Bring on all the 6 Rings cock riders, now that Bun B has a pair.
Only kicks that have caught have my eye, from the “New Jordan Era,” are the Olympic colorways of the Olympia’s.
They are definitely better looking than the white/black ones, all because the features are hidden in the black and they are less hideous looking that way.
Look good with pants though.

hey man there iz nothing wrong wit da og’z. to the people who got og’s more power to em. that’s why i love retro’s! i get a chance to get shoes that i couldn’t get when a child. yeah there may be changes, but u will get over it. but i don’t spend money on shoes 2 keep em in the box. which iz other reasons why i don’t buy og’z. i do think these r the best out of the six rings, but i can get the 11′z n 12′z later this year. n the 11′z don’t come close to these, even though i know wat u mean as far them being alike. n if the retro’s wasn’t coming, i may had cop these. so i don’t knock nobody coppin these. but i do feel u on people complain to much on the new drops.
