Baltimore City Series Air Force Ones

“No city is as important to the Air Force 1 as Baltimore. The city rebirthed the shoe and set in motion a series of events that would change the way sneakers were perceived in the marketplace.” Those aren’t my words, those are Nike’s which was in a promo booklet for the 25th Anniversary of the Nike Air Force Ones.
The Air Force Ones were such a great seller and continued to be in demand to the point that three sneaker shops known as the “Three Amigos” came together and petitioned Nike to re-release the Air Force Ones for them to sell at their stores.
Downtown Locker Room, Charly Rudo Sports, and Cinderella Shoes. The first two colorways that were re-released exclusively in Baltimore were White/Blue and White/Chocolate Brown and month by month, one to two colorways followed. For nearly 10 years the Air Force Ones were exclusive to Baltimore, but the shoe didn’t just stay in Maryland. Word of mouth spread along the east coast and people flocked to Baltimore to pick up a fresh pair of Air Force Ones. It wasn’t until 1994 when the Air Force Ones were finally re-introduced to the nation.
These are due out next month. More info to come, stay tuned. Pics thanks to LaMJC.
