“Aubergine” Bobbito Garcia Air Force Ones 2nd Edition
| Just last weekend the first ever Bobbito x Nike Air Force Ones released. The shoes were simply gorgeous. Nothing wild, no crazy materials, just a dope colorway no one ever has cooked up before.
The second pair of Bobbito Air Force Ones which release this month are not just a unique colorway, but have some personal history behind them. We caught up with Bobbito asking him about his inspiration for the colorway: “I picked aubergine because the first year I ever played in the Holcombe Rucker Memorial Tournament when I was 14, that was the color of the shirts we got and I always had a soft spot for that. Normally you see purple with yellow like the Lakers. I wanted to make a color combo that old school ballplayers like myself would like, and new school sneaker heads would dig too.” Mission accomplished. |
