A$AP Rocky Debuts New Music in Air Jordan 1s

Historically, the late night TV circuit has been an opportune time to premier new music to the masses. Kanye fans can remember hearing “Black Skinhead” for the first time — and with alternate lyrics — when Ye paced the SNL stage in “Red October” Yeezy 2s. Debuting unreleased tunes just the same, A$AP Rocky took to The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to perform tracks off his upcoming album currently residing under the Testing theme.

Donning Black/Red Air Jordan 1s, a favorite for Flacko in OG, 94 and recent release variety, the PMF gave a concept performance playing snippets of “A$AP Forever” and “Distorted Records” before a live studio audience.

While Testing is expected to hit any day now — likely a Friday in the next few weeks — the sneaker world is also curious about what will spawn from his partnership with Under Armour. Recently, Rocky debuted a “Sample” tagged pair of sneakers similar to the Osiris D3 with 3M sidewall tooling comparable to the “M’s” album art.

You can preview that pair here and catch Rocky’s recent performance in the AJ 1s below.
