Air Max 97 Air Force 1 Low
Last October when we got a first glimpse of the Air Max inspired Air Force Ones the Air Max 97 was represented with an Air Force One low that featured a full length Max Air sole. This would have been the first publically released Air Force 1 to feature this type of cushioning, but unfortunately Nike has changed their plans opting for the regular, solid rubber sole. One benefit for this change however is that the shoes will not sport a $200+ price tag.
Currently we don’t have any release information for the Air Max 97 Air Force Ones, but rumors are floating around that they will be an upcoming quickstrike. |

I actually saw a display pair up close and they’re VERY nice in person…only thing is a gum bottom would’ve made them better…oh well—still dope…
Comment by nikeindabutt — June 18, 2008 @ 1:26 pm

Even though the final product is definitely nice I was really anticipating the sample version to release. I’m not the biggest visable air in AF1s kinda guy, but with this pair it just seemed to work for me…oh well. More money in my pocket for something else I guess…haha.

Im am sooooooooo pissed off about this.Forget about the price tag if those full lenth air bubble 1’s would have came out. Those would have been up there as 1 of the best 2 date.Plus I was waiting 4 those since the original screen shots last year.& I could unserstand if they were replaced with some 1’s that were some what on the same level. But these arent even close. They look like some regular 80$ 1’s thats been done over & over again with that color way. What N the hell was Nike thinking. What a big dissapointment.I hope some how those previous 1’s that were shown still come out.

Comment by murda175 — June 18, 2008 @ 2:40 pm

Comment by Terrell — June 18, 2008 @ 5:06 pm
Liked the samples better!!!!!!!
I would still cop though!!!!
Is that suede or 3M material on the shoe???
Comment by Dani@23 — June 18, 2008 @ 6:04 pm
i believe its reflective suede on the 97’s
Comment by brooklyn — June 18, 2008 @ 7:57 pm
hmm… there’s really not much resemblance to the original 97s. I really don’t see what the big deal is. I got the 95 air force Is, and honestly, think they are a disappointing.
Comment by DS — June 18, 2008 @ 9:32 pm
The split sole on the samples is really cool
Comment by Chris — June 18, 2008 @ 9:32 pm

Comment by dj.jbras — June 19, 2008 @ 8:25 am
I’m pissed I waited since last yr for this.. I wanted the air bubble which truly defines the collabo of the AM/AF1 shoe
Comment by pd137 — June 19, 2008 @ 10:41 am
Yeah they need that Air Max bottom. The regular ones look like they should be $175-$150. Peace
