Typically, using old stories to creatively fuel new silhouettes isn’t necessarily the best strategic move. But Jordan Brand, through the “Chicago” and “Shattered Backboard” vignettes, has fared exceptionally doing so on the Air Jordan XXX1.
Today, on the 20th anniversary of Space Jam, we view Michael Jordan’s 31st signature silhouette dressed in traditional black and Concord shades like the original Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam”.
Utilizing Flyweave construction with exposed Flywire cables and a light implementation of patent leather near the rear of the shoe, the model then moves to an enlarged Jumpman at the heel with the Wings logo on the opposite side. A customary white midsole and icy outer below fall right in line with the “Space Jam” 11’s OG aesthetic.
Look for the Air Jordan XXX1 “Space Jam” on December 3 along with the Air Jordan 9 bearing the same name. “Space Jam” 11’s, of course, release the following weekend on December 10.
