Release Reminder: Air Jordan XX3 “Varsity Red”
Tomorrow will see the release of the latest Air Jordan XX3 in White/Varsity Red-Metallic Silver. For those counting, this is the fifth Jordan XX3 to release since the Titaniums premiered in late January.
Though this is technically a general release, don’t expect it to be as easy to come by after the release date. Many heads missed out on the Countdown Package last weekend and who doesn’t like classic Air Jordan colors. Also, judging by prices on eBay being quite a bit over retail one can tell that that is a healthy amount of demand as well. You can press your luck tomorrow at stores nationwide or see what you can come up with online. Jordan XX3 at eBay |

*edit* the biggest size is a 13 is what I meant….
I need a 14…lol
Comment by ian p. — May 30, 2008 @ 10:51 pm
I might get them…!
Comment by oldjumpman35 — May 30, 2008 @ 10:51 pm
I did notice that….maybe this is a men’s only release?! I know 3 people that are going to be steamed that they stop at 13.
Eastbay has posted them now - they always get it up first (pause…)
Comment by Nice Kicks — May 30, 2008 @ 10:58 pm
Add me to that list…do you think if Eastbay and the other online spots don’t have a 14 its worth it to go try in the a.m.?
Comment by ian p. — May 30, 2008 @ 11:00 pm
I highly doubt it. Normally it’s the other way around that the large and odd sizes are listed online but not available in store.
Comment by Nice Kicks — May 30, 2008 @ 11:03 pm
That’s extra lame…I really can’t believe they pull this crap…got the funky ass fusions in every size imaginable but don’t make some classics in a 14…it makes you wonder…
I guess the upside is I don’t have to mess with Highland Mall toy cops in the morning…
Comment by ian p. — May 30, 2008 @ 11:06 pm
ian p. - you in austin? i used to pick up at highland mall, too. never had any problems with cops, though.
Comment by johnny qb — May 30, 2008 @ 11:18 pm
yessur…I’m in Austin…well I used to go back in the day when I was in Highschool to do the early morning thing and never had a problem…and now I try to cop online cause it’s just easier and I don’t have to get up early…but the few times I’ve had to go in the morning lately they have been real assholes…and they do this random ticket crap to where you can walk up at 6:45 when they’re handing out the tickets and a) either get ur shoes before someone who’s been there for a ALOT longer or b)end up not even getting the shoes no matter how long you’ve been there…I guess times have changed…smh
Comment by ian p. — May 30, 2008 @ 11:24 pm
I swear Austin has to have to be the worse place to live in if your a sneakerhead with a big foot! Highland sucks and Active Athlete is nothin but crooks!
Comment by atxboy25 — May 30, 2008 @ 11:24 pm
going to keep my mouth shut…
Comment by Nice Kicks — May 30, 2008 @ 11:25 pm
Other than that I love my city lol
Comment by atxboy25 — May 30, 2008 @ 11:26 pm
lol, I am with you on that. Getting kicks in Austin can be tough at times, but I don’t see myself moving. It seems like there are quite a few readers on here from Austin. Looks like we need a Nice Kicks event here in Austin
Comment by Nice Kicks — May 30, 2008 @ 11:30 pm
HAHAHA! @ Active Athlete…Mike is coo…I’ve never had an issue getting sneaks from there…
I mean I’m not hating on the sneaker scene here…I’ve been buying way too many shoes for as long as I can remember and lived here all my life…we’re slowly starting to get our game up…there’s good spots I don’t think I’ve been in Motive once where I don’t walk out with at least one pair…Complete Clothing has some decent deals on stuff even though they’re selection isn’t the biggest…slowly we’ll get up there and caught up on the scene…
The dopest sneaker spots I’ve been too are in Miami and Chicago…
Comment by ian p. — May 30, 2008 @ 11:31 pm
@ Nice Kicks
Yeah we do!…there’s been a few sneaker parties I’ve been too…there was two events that you may have heard about that my boy Mike Swing did called “Laced Up” they were alright nothin like I’ve seen from pics at other parites in other cities…I also went to a J party last Thursday at Light Bar, but the only reason I even heard about it was becuase my boy DJ’d it…
Comment by ian p. — May 30, 2008 @ 11:34 pm
yea mike is coo…but you know he add a lil to them price tags. lmao but he will quickly say no tax in a heartbeat
Comment by atxboy25 — May 30, 2008 @ 11:48 pm
LMAO! Yeah for realllllll…I’ve seen him put dudes on a payment plan too…lol too funny!

it sucks having big feet. its so hard finding jordans at stores that i can remember tall the jordans i’ve bought in size 14 at the store. retro 10s white red. finish line had a 14, that was the last time though. i got the black chambray 7’s at a store for retail. i paid about 200 for the 14’s when they came out in december 05. and i paid about 250 for the black n red 13’s in 04. those are the only jordans i can remember buying at stores since wearing a 14. as a matter of fact, stores like footlocker, finishline and all the major ones never have over 13. so now i just go t eastbay, flightclub, or ebay. a couple other sites. i hit up air randy, said he doesn’t ever get
sz 14’s. but somehow, i’ve managed to get some shoes that guys can hardly get in smaller sizes. another good thing about size 14 is they dont make much fakes in that size at all.most fakes go up to 12 maybe 13. but they wont waste time making these shoes in sizes most people dont wear.if eastbay doesn’t have these in a 14, i doubt anyone has em in that size yet. oh well, good to see we got some size 14’s out here
Comment by bkbigjay — May 31, 2008 @ 12:02 am
I can’t warm up to any of the XX3’s. This one is especially grotesque, with that shiny ruby red near the bottom of the sneaker, it’s just waaaay too shiny for me.
Comment by mcmcnyc — May 31, 2008 @ 1:40 am

I don’t really like any of the XXIIIs but this is the nicest lookin onethus far. And how has this turned from talking about sneakers to talking about cities in Texas. Lol
Comment by retro3 — May 31, 2008 @ 10:50 am
@ retro3
We weren’t talking about cities in Texas we were talking about the sneaker sence in Austin and sneaker spots…
Also, Nike.com posted these after I went to bed and what do know they had them all the way up to size 18 and are now sold out…wth happened with Eastbay’s run of shoes? I still haven’t seen them posted on Finishline’s site…

Ian p. i got them in a 11.5 My wife got these for me for our anniversary. They only had two left at Champs. These really nice I think that you have the opportunity, get them they are worth it.
Comment by P3 — May 31, 2008 @ 3:47 pm
Oh also, they said that these are a limited general release. because most of the footlockers didnt get them. i know the footlockers in waco, tx didnt. but most stores in Austin have them. you just have to call and make sure.
Comment by P3 — May 31, 2008 @ 3:49 pm
If Nice Kicks holds a convention I will most definately go to that. All the shoes i have come across i owe a great amount of gratitude to this website.

Comment by raul — June 1, 2008 @ 7:47 pm
Yo dnvlljs!!! they had them in Norfolk VA at military circle mall at foot locker, they still got a few sizes.
Comment by Rob528 — June 1, 2008 @ 9:12 pm
I live in bunk a$$ ATX and copped mine @ Highland. I didn’t know what to expect cuz I wanted to get them before they sold out. I figured since very few on-line retailers, if any at all had them available, I’d have to get them at the store. I was the 2nd customer of the day when Finishline opened up at Highland and all I did was say “I need these in a 12, please.” The little worker guy got ‘em for me, I paid, and bam I had em. Didn’t know there had been problems with crowds and mall security in the past though… but I’m not surprised… it is Highland Mall.
Comment by willywill — June 1, 2008 @ 11:10 pm
HAHAHAHAHAHA at willywill. dude i got mine at the highland mall as well. I wen to champs though. people were in there getting pissed off because they wouldnt let them have the store discount for them. lmao. i love hearing stories about the highland mall. it makes my day.
Comment by P3 — June 2, 2008 @ 11:44 am
