Air Jordan Melo M4 China Released!

Air Jordan Melo M4 China

Last fall the public got the first glimpse of Melo wearing the M4 in a special color up when he took the court in a charity game in Beijing to support the Special Olympics, the China Hope Project and the Chi Heng Foundation, which benefits Chinese orphans with AIDS.  For the game Melo laced up in a special edition of the Melo M4 that drew inspiration from “wood” - Melo’s Chinese astrological sign.  The theme is carried through the shoe with wood grain panels and earthtone colors throughout the upper and sole.  The back of the shoe features a map of Shen Yang and Guangzhou that pay tribute to the first Jordan store in China and the location where this edition of the Melo M4 released.

As with virtually limited release, pairs have made their way into the hands of resellers and listed on eBay.  The shoes are going for a fair price of around $150, but finding larger sizes is next to impossible.  Check out more photos after the jump.

The link I posted to eBay has all of the pairs listed but so far the largest is a size 10 :-( The second a size 11.5 gets posted I am sniping like Ivan Sidorenko (kids study your WWII history)

  16. I think this is one of those cases where the rarity / availability blur good judgement. Perhaps it’s as a Denver-dweller that I’m just jaded on Melo that I do not understand the desire to own a pair of his shoes, rare or not. And as always, to each their own. No one is getting my coin for those, though.

  17. Good cause and that brown/wood design is suprisingly nice. At first sight, the Melo M4 design had me excited, thought these might even end being the best signature shoe (current player) for its year…but for some reason I have not purchased a pair, not sure if its the colors or his season/playoff performance (…or all of the AJ releases).
