Air Jordan Fusion 5 “Grey Nurse”
Some of you may already know that Tinker Hatfield was inspired by the P-51 Mustang when he was designing the Air Jordan 5. What many of you probably don’t know is that the “sunburst” on the side of the shoe that resembles the WWII fighter plane was a painted rendering of the Grey Nurse Shark.
For the second Flight Club exclusive Fusion release, Jordan Brand went back to the roots of the design of the Air Jordan 5 for this special Fusion 5 make up. Only fitting to release at the Jordan “Flight Club”, the shoe is designed to look just like the original P-51 Mustangs with military style colors, rugged materials, and cosmetic additions such as the eyes of the shark and Jordan’s initials on the side “MJJ” for Michael Jeffery Jordan. If the graphic of the Grey Nurse Shark looks a little familiar, that’s because it is the same graphic that was on the Tuskegee Air Men Air Force Ones from a few years ago. The Tuskegee Air Men flew the P-51 Mustangs in WWII. These are available now online at Flight Club and Osneaker.com. |

if they did like 1,000 pair of these.. they’d be gone
but they aren’t even sold out of a size yet
Not a bad shoe as a form of art appreciation but not exactly the most fashionable

This aren’t bad.

They should of made like 4 or 5

Matt, Nike and JB need to hire you for marketing, I’m serious.
I don’t think that I have heard anywhere from JB or Nike this much info and even history tying back to the Tuskegee Air Men.
I will save the $175 and put these towards another shoe, but I am glad to hear this history about the shoe and its connection to African American history. Knowing that the Tuskegee Air Men flew the P-51 Mustang makes me like the Air Jordan 5 that much more.

Good concept, but nah. I would applaude someone who made these as a custom, but this is not for the public…especially not for $175!
Yet another AJFC flop.

These are fresh i just copped em and got em today, and they are hot. The thing is, is that on the internet they be posting them fake sample pics or fakes. But these really look betta in person. i cant wait to rock em. these are surely a pair to put in mind for a next pair of kickz. but i do agree wit some people out there, this fusion thing needs to stop. its gettin way out of hand.

i’m still debating whether to get these or not.
a few ppl say they ain’t fashionable…
but i say it’s not the shoe, it’s them.
you just gotta make it work.
