Air Jordan Fusion 12 vs. Air Jordan 12 Playoffs
Since the late 80s, the Bulls have developed a tradition that when playoff times came, it was time to lace up in black kicks. This is why all “Playoff” edition colors of Air Jordans are black based. In the 1996-97 season, MJ was short changed in the MVP voting, losing to Karl Malone, but Mike sought revenge beating Malone and the Jazz in 6 while earning NBA Finals top honors of MVP.The Air Jordan Fusion 12 “Playoffs” release this weekend. This is the fourth colorway of the Jordan 12 Fusions to release, but just the second that will be widely available to the public as a general release. Though you shouldn’t have much of a problem grabbing the shoes in stores, you can get them with the convenience of online shopping at Finishline.

i dont like the fusions but these are ok, these are my fav 12’s and the 9/14 pack wuda been sick if they put the indilgo and powder blue, idk wat jordan was thinking, i heard for the 11/12 pack theyre bringing the concords back

I personally dont like these fusion kicks….i more into the original jordans like the 1,3,4,5,6,7,10,13…..not this new garbage…

These are garbage. In fact, the whole AF1-Jordan Fusion idea is garbage. (except for the 3’s and 5’s-only cuz those are my favorite J’s) Why would I shell out $150 for Fusions, when I can just buy a pair of j’s? (or stack another $150 and get a countdown pack) I’m a sneakerhead, but I’m not stupid! I bet every person who scoffed at the idea of payin $100+ for any of the “premium” af1’s feels like a dumb*ss after buying any fusions. But thats just my opinion.

Although I’m not into the Fusions, I like this particular pair. With that being said however, I would much rather wait on the return of the Jordan XII..They were on another level and at the time they were released, they (along with the Jordan XI) were so much better and more distinctive than any other shoe out at that time!

I love the 12’s but I just dont see myself paying $150 for some fully equiped AF1’s. Its like buying a customized honda for the same price as a brand new Benz!!

Saw these on some kat playing in that wack UCLA game on Saturday and they looked fresh as hell. I couldn’t take my eyes off them instead of seeing that incredible shot over the backboard, which was incorrectly UCLA’s ball, btw. But damn, these shoes are str8!

I am an avid fan of the Air Jordan collection.
Being around since the first Jordan came out in early 85,
and all the way through every release, I have seen some great designs, and abysmal failures.
The Jordan 1 was an updated ultra premium AF1, it was a great shoe but not the most comfortable.
The 2 was an expansion of the 1, with the birth of some new technology in the outsole. It featured many design cues which were apparently very popular in sneakers at the time.
The Jordan 3…Instant classic. Arrived shortly after the AF 2.
The 4, 5, 6, and 7 were all instant classics. The 7 was OK to me not the best, pretty much a fancy glorified Air Hurache.
The Huraches actually looked nicer too at the time.
The Jordan 8, was horrible looking. I didn’t even think that it was a Jordan shoe, the 9…worse. all leading into the bootleg 10. Anyone who likes the Jordan 10 knows very little about Jordans. THEY HAD SHOES AT K-Mart at the time that looked exactly like the 10. You couldn’t tell the difference, except that the outsoles were plastic.
The 11 to me is pure garbage. The only leather on that they had oon that shoe was the patent, the back by the achilles heel, and thats it. $175 for a shoe that was made with 75% man made materials, and low cost ones at that. Canvas, Simple all white EVA outsole wit a clear sole. The 12’s were nice.
The 13’s were a great example of how low you could and still sell Jordans. The upper was 50% nylon, and 50% Man made “NikeBuck” leather. They looked nice but cheap at the same time. The Jordan 14 was decent. The 15 was alright.
The 16 was amazing! The 17 too. The 18…OK the 19…Bootleg again, but from what I heard amazingly comfortable. The 20 made me think about the vast amount of drugs the designers were taking. The 21’s were decent, The 22’s redeemed the Jordan brand in a good way, and the 23’s were nice too.
I have the Black/White/Taxi Fusion 12’s,
The Jordan 3 “Black Cats”,
And a pair of ones.
These shoes are amazing! They are just as comfortable; if not more comfortable than my old Air Max 180’s!
The sole looks and feels like it is hiding a full length air max unit in the shoe under the leather sole wrap.

i think that fusions are nice and i think that the people who make these have good ideas. but i dont see why jordan and nike is going head to head about these shoes it not even worth it to me.and wat is the point for making these shoes. how i feel about the situation is that long as you is you are making your money for you product then you should not worry about wat people say about you and your products

The 12 fusions are ok but there is nothing like the original playoff 12s which I happen to have a pair of.The Dec. paccage is supposed to consist of the taxi 12s and the Space Jam 11s(which I also have-original) but it really doesn’t matter whatever 11 and 12 comes out I have to have those two are the illest Js ever hands down!!!
