Air Jordan Classic ‘87 “Elephant Print”

Next year, retro Jordans will be relatively scarce with only 1 pair of each Jordan in double packs for a total of only 11 releases. With the limited number of Countdown Packages Jordan heads will need to look to other models to get their Jumpman fix.

Jordan Brand has successfully cross-bred some of the retros to make the “.5″ series of Team Jordans, but JB has also done some good work retooling classic silhouettes into respectable casual kicks. These, the Air Jordan Classic ‘87, take design cues from the Jordan 2 and Jordan 3 - the two sneakers MJ wore when he won Slam Dunk Contests.

Jordan’s leap from the free-throw line drew inspiration for the Jumpman logo that we have all come to know and idolize over the years. This model combines what Jordan stands for - history of excellence and style. Look for these in February for $105.  Pics thanks to Sneaker News/juebankongjian.
