Air Jordan 4 Military OG & Retro Comparison
| The countdown is on, and the Military Blue Air Jordan 4’s release in less than a month. It has been 17 years since the originals dropped which is older than alot of sneakerheads!I have been fortunate enough to grab several pairs, but not fortunate enough to be able to wear them. Since I got a pair of the retros early, I can finally wear my favorite pair of Air Jordans.
Nice Kicks took pictures of a side-by-side comparison of the OG and retro version of the Air Jordan 4 Military Blue. In total there are 11 pictures to see how similar and different the retro kicks are to the originals. Release Date: 9/9/2006 |

The retro Military Blue Jordan 4’s release 9/9/06 for $115. The shoes will be a general release, but the demand for these is insane. Don’t think that you can show up to the mall at 1PM and get a pair - there will be lineups for these for sure.

Man, I hope these dont crease as easy as the Mars’ ones do. My friend had a pair and creased them hard. I kept mine in the box, i want to rock these, but I don’t want them to crease. Any tips on preventing creases?

The jordan 4 has to be the best jordan,EVER..this coming from a Chitown OG..I was in 8th grade when these dropped youngns..do the math..¬ that new math..3rd best colorway..orig.cement/blk/white & blk/red/grey are the only ones better. If only they brought back the plastic nike air tag…the shoe game is at its best right now champs…live it up..

Sad news for Jordan Fans, hope you sitting down for this The Jordan release that we all been waiting for is comin Aug 23 but not to stores or Eastbay. I ‘m talkin about the release of Retro 4’s Yellow/grey and Black/ yellow they are going to be sold as a bundle the yellow 4’s with a shirt $250 and black/yellow 4’s with a matching jacket $500. It’s true go to Jumpman23.com for pictures or call nike.com yourself. I think the price is way overrated seeing the release was only suppose to be $125 for the shoes. Nike is Jackin us for the money.

The OG crushes the Retro with the thicker mesh and OG Nike AIR on back but other then that I’m very pleased with the Retro. Put me down for 3 pairs on RD e-z!!!!

everybody jumpin off bout how yall love Greedy Genius and Bapes and now it’s costin us wear it hurts the most the pockets that why Nike done jump the price on the exclusive retro 4’s Yellow/Gray and Black/Yellow release “thunder and lightning”. Big Will pickyourshoes.com is legit, I shop there all the time thay have the widest variety of shoes than any other website. Plus they are on the nike forum if you need extra assurance. Legit shoes, comes with the authentic nike shoe boxes, retro cards, and shoe laces. The only problem you will have with them is they seldom sell shoes at retail price. But most websites don’t sell at retail price and Overcharge. Pay up for what you want. I also have them as my homepage so I don’t miss exclusive releases.

Personally, what is on the back of a shoe is one of the last things I am concerned with. So many people have been complaining about this one little thing and I don’t honestly see it being worth the complaining. Alot of times, I think people only think the Nike Air looks hotter because thats how the originals were. Had the originals had the Jumpman and the retros had “Nike Air”, I bet the same complaining would be going on.
I think it is very sad that some people are going to pass up on these shoes JUST because of something so small as the logo on the back of the shoe. This is one of the greatest classics in the Air Jordan line. Personally, I have 3 pairs of OG Military Jordan 4’s, but guess what, I can’t wear a SINGLE pair.
This release gives me the opportunity to wear one of the greatest Jordan shoes EVER made - Nike sign or not.

If u dont want ur shoes to crease up buy half (.5) or a full size bigger than u wear and put a sick at the toe so they dont crease i do it to all my shoes and they are crease free but may feel wierd for the first few times this also works well with Air Forces

I have no problem with the jumpman logo instead of the nike air, I’m one of those people relivin my Jordan dream and if it’s with the retro then so be it. Back then when originals were being released I passed up all pairs because I refused to try to break my single parent mother’s pockets. The jumpman logo on the Jays is to seperate the OG from the retro’s as a OG collector you should appreciate that, because if they didn’t wear would you draw the line of what’s what. And also your OG Jordans are to old and you can’t wear them anyway. Well here’s ya opportunity to wear them and relive the moment with no regrets.

I truely dont understand these comments about the nike logo. If you ask me personally, i like the jumpman logo better (but thats just my opinion) and i have the OG retro 4’s. The thing is we all want the NIKE logo, but guess what, ITS NOT GONNA HAPPEN!!! so get over it. If you were a true MJ collector you would appreciate that it doesn’t have the Nike logo, because your retros you bought back 17 yrs ago wouldn’t really be retros anymore, would they? So shut up and buy the IV’s we love o so much.

Oh man, hate it when someone is right, NIKE air did look better on it though, but these are really growing on me now. The JUMPMAN makes it look so diffrent though…! I got so used to the OG’s, JORDAN BRAND took over the J’s after the 11’s, right. Because since the 12’s, the name NIKE was never on a AIR JORDAN anymore. The colorway is a work of art, no doubt, just miss the NIKE AIR on the bAck, that’s all. NIKE AIR just reminded me of MARS sayin’ to JORDAN… MONEY, IS IT THE SHOES, DO YA KNOW, DO YA KNOW, DO YA KNOW??? IT MADE THE IV’S AN INSTANT CLASSIC. HAD THE BLACK ORIGINALS BACK IN ‘89-’90. I think after the 7’s, NIKE AIR was no longer on the J’s, except for the insole. Let’s see, the 8s, 9s, 10’s had a JUMPMAN on the back, 11s, 12s, 13s, 14s, 15s, 16s, 17s had a JUMPMAN on the back, 18s, 19s, 20s and 21s had JUMPMAN on the back, hmm…! the shoes are hideous. the leather looks like wal mart quality. the greys dont match and the blue is terrible. save your money.
they arent worth it.

Yo, these kicks are so nasty! I work at Finishline so you know i get to peep them in person ahead of time. But yeah these will sell out quick so get to the mall a couple hours early. But i dont think these are hotter than tha mars.
