In celebration of the 2006 World Cup, Nike released a World Cup collection of shoes. The most popular shoes released in this package are the World Cup Air Force Ones. There were 6 released in total for 6 teams that Nike outfits for the World Cup: Brazil, Mexico, USA, South Korea, Holland, and Portugal.
These shoes were sold for $90 in stores and sold out opening day (April 29, 2006) in most stores. The World Cup Air Force Ones were extremely limited to only select shops and were only made in mens sizes. Included with the World Cup Air Force Ones was stickers of all of the teams that Nike sponsors.
