The Nike Air Flightposite III was part of the Alpha Project series and the Foamposite line making for an incredibly futuristic looking shoe.? Best known for the “lenticular holograms” on the side that really looked like alien eyes, the upper was an ultra-thin foamposite with two stretchy TPU straps, one at the forefoot and the other at the ankle, to provide optimal foot stability and support.? The top ankle strap was magnetic which required the wearer to lace up the shoe tightly.? The inside of the shoe incorporated a Dynamic-fit sleeve to offer a snug fit, but there were also mesh windows on the tongue area for breathability.? Zoom Air cushioning was throughout the shoe with an exposed midsole carbon-fiber plate and the outsole was solid rubber with herringbone.
