Late last month, Brandblack proved that summer sequels could be bigger blockbusters than the original with the leaked debut of the Aura II. While the dope dad shoe won’t be hitting shelves until Fall/Winter ’18, we’ve got an early look at just about all the colorways thanks to our Agenda Las Vegas coverage.
On display at Liberty and perhaps the talk of the show among sneaker people, the LA line’s latest take on father footwear may be the ideal middle ground for those too swaggy for Monarchs but too sharp to drop a stack on the Triple S. Cache and cash aside, it may be the best shoe of all three mentioned.
Built on a Vibram sole style you won’t find anywhere else, the paneled casual sneaker sticks to the script by mixing leather with mesh on the upper, but deviates from the grandpa get-ups by sporting a knit sockliner with fresh but functional pull tabs. Market fixture colorways are available as are some wilder takes that define the label.
