adidas x UNDERCRWN: Basketball with a 90’s Twist

By now you’ve heard or maybe even seen the adidas x UNDRCRWN “It Takes 5ive” collection. Now get informed as to what the special project’s all about.

adidas teamed up with UNDRCRWN on a limited run of 90’s retrospective-inspired shoes for their “It Takes 5IVE” athletes. Each silhouette is geared to fit the on-court function and fashion needs of adidas’ stacked roster of NBA stars Tracy McGrady, Kevin Garnett, Tim Duncan, Chauncey Billups and Gilbert Arenas. Design cues included in the sneakers represent the athletes on-and-off court personalities, like the Gil Zero Low highlighting Arenas’s bold personality, while Tim Duncan’s CC Stealth sports a more subtle black-on-black color up, a clear representation of Duncan’s silent-killer basketball steez.

The sneakers will be available at select urban and specialty retailers June 1st and will retail for $150. Check the models that were featured in Complex’s June/July issue that drops on newsstands June 10th and a limited edition tee that will coincide with the release after the jump.
