Adidas Torsion Bank Shot
On the heels of the news yesterday about the Torsion series returning we have received some detailed photos of the Adidas Torsion Bank Shot - one of Adidas’ first basketball shoes to feature the Torsion System.
The shoes come correct in a simple white/blue/grey colorway just like they did almost two decades ago. Just like the originals the shoes sport the yellow Torsion bar across the sole connecting the forefoot to the heel with added support. Look for these to hit stores in early January of 2009. Photos thanks to our friends at limiteditions. |

Didn’t like these when they originally came out, and I still don’t.
They should have released the other B-ball high top torsions.

At least these are more official than some of the stuff Nike and JB been putting out lateley. I was dissapointed when Nike replaced that tennis ball on the back of the Tech Challenges, pissed when they left out Prime Time’s face out of the DT Max’s, and completeley livid when the J’s started using CRAPTASTIC materials that wasn’t even originally there in their retros. Maybe it’s not a bad idea if JB did take a break from retroing to get themselves straightened out.

this is way better than 95% of what nike makes, its good that they are making an actual new shoe instead of just endlessly rereleasing things like nike does.

having just bought a pair of zx9000s in the original colourway, adidas need a good kick up the ass. their new torsion line is more style over substance. the sole of all their new retro torsions is really poor compared the the original adidas torsions. the bar is like a cocktail stick in comparison. the soft cell is little more than a clear circular rubbery piece stuck on the bottom. and the parts in the mid sole that are supposed to be made of a different material to improve support are just painted on. disapointing as the upper is pretty spot-on.
