Adidas Top Ten 2000 Retro
|
With Kobe and the Lakers in the NBA Finals this month, Adidas couldn’t have the timing better than they do to re-release the shoes Kobe wore as an 18 year old rookie. The Adidas Top Ten 2000, like the KB8 series, featured Feet You Wear technology that made a major impact for the brand that was struggling in the basketball category for a number of years. Adidas has been hard at work bringing back many of the shoes Kobe wore including the (KB8 Crazy 8 ) and Kobe 1 (Crazy 1). Look for these to pop up this summer in the original Black/White colorway as well as many other colors. Pics from Jordan8420. |

Like these. Any ideas on the other colourways and cost?

i dun think Adidas own Feet Your Wear anymore, there was a contract allow them to use the technology and it was expired couple of years ago…dun know why Adidas didnt renew the contract…the tricky part is…the Company which owns the technology didnt produce any Feet Your Wear shoes neither…

No more Feet You Wear technology as per an out of court settlement with the guy who licensed the patent to Adidas

these are nice, but they need to bring back the antwan walkers..those were hot..

No Feet You Wear? Then it’s a good thing I haven’t purchased any of the Adidas retros that used to have that technology. My cousin did say that the retro Crazy 8 didn’t feel as good as the originals. I still have the Equipments Kobe wore during the ‘97 dunk contest. I played nothing but outdoor ball in them, and they’re beat down, but still comfy.

i actually might cop some adidas’ that i actually like. and to responde to alex; those adidas real deals, they brought them back some time ago. last year or 06
Comment by daniel — June 10, 2008 @ 8:04 am
Yeah, the retro Real Deals didn’t even have the torsion bar. Maybe Alex was talking about those other Walkers that had “A 8 W” on the back. They looked a little like those Kobes these guys just posted last Thursday.

I’m sorry to say that it has been a sad few days for sneakerheads here in Houston. All Sports Wraps, Athlete’s Foot (except for on located in an outside strip mall) and the famous Kicks in the Galleria which showcased many exclusives and customs such and the Titanium fusions and the M&M AF1’s have been closed down. Last week I noticed that the Sports Wrap in SharpsTown had a big sale so I picked up a pair of acg AF1 premiums for $59 but just thought I got a good deal. Well come to find out they were having a big half off sale on everything because they apparently knew they were shutting down. A friend of mine who is an assistant manager at Footaction said that he bought the #1 and #22 package for 175 at Kicks in the Galleria. When I went to SharpsTown a few days ago there was a note on both Sports Wrap and Athlete’s foot from the mall stating that the premises have been locked up by the landlord. All there merchandise is still in there. My friend just came back from the NorthWest mall in Houston and said that the same thing happened to SportsWrap at that mall also. He then told me that Kicks is closed down also. What happened is that the owner apparently stopped paying rent but right now I am not sure why. So now from what workers at the mall are telling me is that the mall is basically free to keep all their inventory and merchandice that the owner has left. I’m just sad to see Kicks along with the other stores close down because it gave us here in Houston other choices to choose from other than the Footlocker chains and Finishlines………….

loved these shoes! in college we had team shoes from converse that were the chuck all stars released that year. i went out and scored the blue ones (the first color released in the shoe). i wish i would have never threw them out. this comes from a guy that always played ball with nikes.

Kobe should have inked with Jordan Brand or Nike his rook year. Adidas did him real greasy with all his designs.

naa… the crazy 1 r way better
Comment by Jred — July 5, 2008 @ 10:08 pm
had the purple/white original colorway. loved the shoe itself. came with the little feet you wear logo keychain too. the only drawback to the shoe was the feet you wear would eventually wear down and you’d get holes on the balls of your feet. i would get another pair if they retro’d them for sure

This what a real shoe looks like, and for those who used it, they know how it feels. The Feet You Wear is the best description for this model. Good for all type of terrain, resistant. Where can I buy this type of shoe in 2008!!
