Exploring further creative direction where the NMD is concerned, adidas Consortium recently debuted a new style in conjunction with Tokyo-based mita sneakers.
Titled the adidas NMD TS1 ($220), the mid-cut design features an overlaying web-like pattern set atop Primeknit construction. A sock centric ankle collar transfers from elder NMD styles to this one, while taped reinforcements are placed just above the midsection of the full-length Boost midsole.
The budding silhouette is coupled with a traditional silhouette in the Stan Smith ($160). Colored in black alongside its contemporary, contrasting white Consortium branding strikes the tongue and just below it. More brand script is found at the heel which has been updated with a tab.
Look for the mita sneakers x adidas Consortium collection on July 7 at mita and at global Consortium retailers the following week on July 14.
