Three years after Damian Lillard was drafted by the Portland Trailblazers, quickly becoming one of the leagues most exciting new point guards, he accomplished something far superior to anything he could do on the court – he graduated from college.
A promise he made to his mother and himself, had finally came into fruition in May 2015. The adidas Dame 3 “Wasatch Front” honors his achievement while equally representing the special relationship between mothers and sons.
The shoe is rendered in colors representative of Weber State, Dame’s alma mater. Moreover, the colorway is named after a mountain range bordering Ogden that rises to create the Wasatch Front, a stretch of land that spans across cities in north-central Utah.
