Yesterday, Kanye West and adidas hosted thousands of fans and a handful of famous friends at the Yeezy Season 3 presentation at Madison Square Garden. Doubling as a listening party for his new album The Life of Pablo, the Vanessa Beecroft led art piece saw the latest apparel offerings from Mr. West while also previewing a few new takes in the footwear department as well as some familiar favorites.

adidas Yeezy Boost 350
Continuing the trend of the previous two seasons, the adidas Yeezy Boost 350 was a fixture of Season 3. Introduced with a new upper pattern (likely still Primeknit but at this point unconfirmed), tiger-like striping details the base with a bold mark standing out on the lateral side of the shoe. A grey pair with hot pink contrast was the highlight of the show, with a Black/White pair (as well as Kanye’s all-white joints) also previewed prior.
adidas Yeezy Boost 1050
Worn by the likes of Young Thug, the adidas Yeezy Boost 1050 sees similar duck boot styling and earth tone takes as its 950 predecessor. A highlight came in the form of a hunting camo colorway, with most models wearing taupe takes or makeups of the tonal brown or black variety. We were able to confirm with adidas that this is an adidas model and that it does in fact contain Boost technology.
Unnamed Yeezy Season 3 Boot
So, what did Kanye West himself wear to Yeezy Season 3? That’s a good question. Appearing similar in styling to the army boots he wore pre-Yeezy Season 1, a pair of tan suede high tops boots were worn by West and a few models as well. A wavy midsole is far different than that of the 1050s, while it appears there may be a slight side-striping ala the new 350s. [Editor’s Note – We were able to confirm with the Three Stripes and Kanye’s camp that these are not made by adidas but are in fact part of Yeezy Season 3.]
Miscellaneous adidas Footwear
New silos aside, many modern and classic models from adidas were worn by the models in the show. The adidas Tubular and NMD were amongst the new flavors from Originals, while Rod Lavers and Stan Smiths were also spotted. Also, could that be an all-tan Yeezy Boost 750 in the last photo? It’s tough to call now if it’s a pair from Season 1 or Season 2 based on the lighting, but our hopes are these are a new colorway.
