16-Year-Old Kid Shot & Killed over Air Jordans

Sixteen-year-old Juan Reyna was gunned down inside a neighbor?s home last week in Houston, TX. According to his father, the violence erupted during an argument over a pair of Air Jordans Reyna had recently purchased from the alleged gunman, nineteen-year-old Yusef Villanueva.

While the crime is still under investigation, Yusef Villanueva has been charged with murder despite his initial claims that his gun went off by accident.

Juan Reyna will be buried today on what would have been his seventeenth birthday.

    SMH. When will these kids learn that it’s just not worth it. A young life taken, and another thrown?away?over rubber and leather.

    Wow, I’m 28 years old and I remember reading about incidents like this happening in DC, NY, Chicago, etc . I could’ve sworn we left that back in the 90′s. ?And here I was starting to think we as society and culture (Sneaker enthusiast) had grown out of that violent savage mentality; but I guess it’s true what they say. “History always repeats itself”.

    1. MartinD44 says:

      History wouldn’t be repeating itself in this case if parents actually parented and were involved in their kids life and knew what kind of person they are. They should know if they’re the type of kid that might want a gun and be hiding a gun in his room. Or they should know that their kid knows where they keep their gun, and make sure he?ABSOLUTELY KNOWS THERE WILL BE MAJOR CONSEQUENCES FOR TOUCHING IT UNSUPERVISED. If it was the parents’ gun, then what the hell were they teaching that little idiot??? That its ok to solve arguments by pulling out a gun and threatening someone with it?or even using it??? New law: if your child who is a minor shoots someone with YOUR gun, then you as his parent will also additionally serve a sentence equal to half of your child’s sentence because you obviously didn’t raise him right and then decided to leave easily accessible guns in your home that your unstable child could find and use.

    @UGH?Thank the blog sites for the down fall of the sneaker game. ?Constantly feeding the masses with “Epic” views and giving info on kicks almost a year in advance has completely changed the way we purchase, collect, and behave at every release. ?Sadly, I don’t think the old way will ever return.

      @Lusinmader??@UGH
      ?Yea dumbass. I read these sneaker websites to find out about releases and you know what??? By some miracle, I’m not going around shooting people and behaving violently. I must be the exception! No man. These sites have nothing to do with the trash out there who decide they’d rather acquire their kicks by robbing, hurting someone, or both. First, guns shouldn’t be readily available for these idiotic individuals like they are. Second, their parents failed at teaching their kids the value of human life.
