Nearly four years ago, only one person arrived late at the “McFly” Hyperdunk camp-out and left with a pair of the Marty-inspired kicks. What was his name? Kobe Bryant. The sneaker’s spokesman rolled up in a DeLorean DMC-12 at the UNDFTD LA release of the Nike Hyperdunk 2015 “McFly” to take pictures with fans and sign autographs. To this day, the limited Hyperdunk still stands a milestone for Nike Basketball and the sneaker culture. Though releases since have arguably been bigger, Kobe coming through the camp-out puts this drop in a world all its own.
