Many of you are eagerly awaiting clear photos of the Air Jordan 3 “Black History Month” and rightfully so. While we wait for those photos, we have spotted detailed photos of the Nike Zoom Kobe VI “Black History Month”. Multiple, unique details have been applied to this shoe in honor of the African culture. For example, the snakeskin, scaly design, seen on all Kobe VIs, is coupled with a ridged application (seen throughout the base) that represents the African cultural art form of face/body scarification. In addition, this Kobe VI’s insoles hold special meaning, literally. The left insole reads, ?A Call to Greatness? and features a special all-over graphic, along with the roman numeral XXXV (35th anniversary of Black History Month). The right insole reads, ?Overcome the odds. Make an impact on your sport. Change the world.? View detailed photos below.

      • What?!? U made no sense, dude … not even a hint of slang there. And this is a new era, man … everyone uses slang these days. Language has evolved. Hell, even weathermen on tv are using “slang” terms to describe the weather in the East such as “snowmageddon,” “snowicane” and “snowpocalypse.” Slang spices up everyday, boring sentences and everyone is pretty much using it or used to it by now without it being attached to racial correlation.

Btw, black is actually a description for lack of color, so African-American was correct …. just so your know.

  1. Been hoping get some nice kobes to hoop in. Hope I can get these at a fair price. Didn’t get the damn grinch kobes.

    • I agree to a point, but my favorite part is the scarring on the scales which is referenced back to boys becoming men within African tribes.

  2. These are one of his nicest shoes yet IMO. And i aint just saying that because i’m black myself. I’m just glad to see that they didn’t go overboard with it.

not to mention it has two of my favorite colors- black & gold.

  3. The black history month theme is wack. As for the color way, its defiantly on point imo. I really like the texture they put over the snakeskin

  4. While I like the shoe, I’m not that fond of the colorway. But what really makes me dislike them is the lettering. At first glance, it seems like “BUM.” While I know it’s BHM, it still looks odd. The color choices should be different. The coldest BHMs I’ve seen are AF1s. It’s not even close.

Personally, I adore the Del Sols a hell of a lot more. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful …. but the VIs are just getting started.
