Kobe Bryant has added to his basketball legacy due much in part to his work in the offseason. While his post season accolades get the most coverage, the man is a gym rat obsessed with getting better. In the summer of 2006 he put his own game on the back burner and became leader of the USA FIBA Team. Determined to put the States back on top of the basketball world, Kobe led the team in two versions of the Nike Zoom Kobe II. Unfortunately the US took two L’s that summer with a Bronze in FIBA and the Sheath pair only being released in Asia. The Reedem Team avenged the first loss in the summer of 2008 but we’re counting on Nike to take care of the second.
