Tomorrow marks the beginning of Team USA’s latest conquest in world basketball supremacy. Between the FIBA Tournament and the Olympics the boys in red, white, and blue have created some special hoops memories in international play over the past two decades. They’ve also managed to do so in some illustrious sneakers. Just recently we saw the re-re-release of the Olympic Air Jordan 7. The Olympic retro two times over had us at Nice Kicks recounting some of the best Team USA kicks yet to come back. While most remember Anfernee’s shoe game for his signature Air Penny line, Mr. Hardaway also had his share of great Nike player exclusives. Perhaps his best was the Nike Zoom Flight 96 that he wore as a member of the 1996 Dream Team II. The quiet but flashy combo guard helped to lead the home team to the Gold in Atlanta. Nike retroed the the Zoom Flight 96 in 2008 but failed to release the #6 P.E.’s. One can only hope…
