Video: Curren$y Criticizes Air Jordan Fusions

“It’s like an Air Force 1 dressing up like a Jordan for Halloween.”

The Air Jordan Fusion line has received an abundance of backlash over the past couple of years. Many have described the line in many different ways; however, New Orleans rapper Curren$y may have described the Fusions in the most comical way to date (just check out the words above). He also stated that Jordan Brand has been sending him some goodies as of late. Do you think the last package Jordan Brand sent Curren$y will literally be his last after these words?

You really think that comment was reckless? He just said what is on everyone’s mind. The majority populous agress that Fusions are horrible. JB will make them regardless just because they’re released doesn’t mean they sell well. There are Fusions on sales racks all over the country that still won’t move out the store at 29.99 I think you have to do some homework and check out all the crap that JB has signed off on in the past 4-5 years like the “Fusion V Low Is It The Shoes?” those were an abomination just like the rest i’ve never supported Fusions for their design, and $150 dollar price tag i’d rather them direct their budgets and resources towards shoes people will buy and appreciate quit tarnishing the brand! The same goes for all those Jordan Foamposites on the way!

        You are correct. I don’t listen to his music nor do I care to. Rappers are a

        dime a dozen and many will be forgotten in a couple of years. Yes, I do find

        his comments were reckless. Would you bad mouth your boss after giving you a

        bonus check every 6 months? Of course not because it would damage your reputation

        with him/her and in turn possibly stop the bonus checks. As far as doing homework

        I have been into shoes since the late 80′s. Not only Jordans but other brands.

        The quality of materials used in today’s retros are definitely inferior to those of the past.

        Some of the fusions are in fact abominable but it’s up to a person to decide for

        themselves. If he (Currency)is so about being yourself he wouldn’t have made the

        statement in the first place. Fusions may not make him happy but they do make others.

        Regardless of what people think there will always be a counter opinion to every situation or scenario. Shoes are no exception. Do you.

    Funny guy… Every time I’m at Footlocker someone is trying a pair on or getting them. So there’s people that like them… Gotta agree, for the price I’ll just get get a retro or something else; plus most of them are just fugly. Some people will cop anything that has their favorite label, doesn’t happen just in the shoe game.

    All I can say is…when the fusions hits the rack or get the price chopped even more out the Outlet stores, the less fortunate will have a chance to own or start their pair of Jordan’s with the fusions…I myself don’t own a pair of Air Force Jordan fusions, but I won’t be clowning on ppl who do. I may not be able to really tell if they hard for cash really or if they just like the fusions for how they look….or if they just brand junkies and wear the fusions cuz it has a Jordan logo, but what I’m saying is I will just hate on the design of the shoe, not the people who thought up the creativity behind it or the ppl who sport em. Say what you want it’s all good, the beauty about being human is having an opinion, whether good or bad.

      I definitely agree with that. You can dislike the design of anything from houses to shoes but don’t hate on the person that finds that particular design attractive. That’s my problem with the whole fusion thing. People always talk about clowning someone with Fusions. For what? Cause you have a retro or the original shoe? That’s ridiculous. The funny thing about all of it is that the Fusions quality is 10x better than the retros that they are based on. Take a look at the recently released fusion V and compare it to the White/Red V in the countdown pack. The difference in quality is amazing.

      First of all the comment was based on the most recent Fusion V release vs. the

      CDP V that released almost a couple of years ago. You can’t possibly believe

      that the leather quality is better on the CDP V than it is on the Fusion V. If

      so you are the one who’s PLUM CRAZY. Ha!

      The comparison was based on two models in particular. The recent Fusion V and the CDP V. You can’t possibly think that the leather quality on the CDP V is better than the Fusion V. The leather on the CDP V is thin and creases way to easily. The Fusion V’s leather is tumbled and thicker. However, it does crease as well. But not as quickly as the CDP V. Read the entire comment before making comments. I do believe reading is still fundamental.

        Nopert! I don't get down with the latest fad. I wear what I like. Silvertab Levis. Girbauds and Polo shirts. Not all name brand stuff just the polo style shirt. Silvertabs because they never wear out and Girbaud brand x jeans cause the denim in great and it doesn't fade. Shoes are Jordans mostly because of the shank plate. I got bad arches.

        I will give it to you about the air force 1's though. I never bought into the hype about them. I have seen some good colorways though. However, I am deeply offended about the Air Wavy comment!
        I thought this was a friendly debate?! Why you gotta go below the belt? LOL!

    yes, they DO deserve to be doused with a flammable liquid and set ablaze. I will personally take the honors of lighting the match….and there is absolutely NO flavor to the fusions. They are just using two completely OLD designs (Jordan & AF1) and doing a frankenstien job on them. Just remember how he came out and you get my drift.
