Nike SB Dunk Low Premium “Larry Perkins”

Once dubbed the “Chirping Bird,” this Nike SB Dunk has been seen a number of times on Nice Kicks, but a new story is now attached. Larry Perkins is a fictitious character from around five years ago, who was the “most underrated skater ever” and made prank calls on behalf of Big Brother Magazine. Reportedly, the chirping noise has been replaced with a ringing telephone sound as an ode to those calls.

Black denim covers the entire upper, while a matching Swoosh in patent can be found along the sides. A white outsole is paired with a red outsole, matching the color work of the tongue tag. These are a quickstrike release and should be available soon at your local SB spot, including a drop tomorrow at Premier.

UPDATE: The official release date has been pushed back to Saturday, March 20th.

way to change up on us. the colorway is dope (of course bred is the easiest colorway to pull off) but i still aint down w/ my shoes making noises. They should stick to using items as the inspiration (heiniken*, tiffany, RESN) thats where the money’s at.

Saw these today. No chirping sound – phone ringing sound. Also, there’s a little paper phonebooth-like cutout that’s attached to the shoes.
The tongue and collar is like the Gibsons, except the fur is all black instead of pink. The denim is the best part of the shoe. It looks real nice.
