Bespoke Nike Air Force 1 by Marc Strange

Marc Strange’s Bespoke Air Force 1 recently landed at Nike’s 21 Mercer, ready for its creator to come pick it up. Marc was able to narrow down the plethora of material and color offerings to a handful of greys, black and a lone accent color.

Grey elephant print starts things off on the heel panels. Along the quarters, black Kevlar, which we last saw on blogger Marcus Troy’s AF1s, appears behind a teal suede Swoosh. The same suede is used around the toe, surrounding a grey suede toe box. Reflective 3M was chosen for the midfoot, and teal leather tags appear on both the tongue and heel.

Maybe, if the laces matched. Those two blues are clashing hard. Some turquoise laces would redeem these. I don’t know about 8 bills of redemption, but…

I’m also getting sick of seeing elephant print on so many Bespokes. NIke should lock up elephant print and safari print for a while and try and come up with something a little more creative.

very, very, very dope. these make me want some air force ones bad. f the haters. so what you didn’t get the invite to 21 mercer or can’t afford the $800. heat is heat. bespoke is probably the best thing to happen to af1′s since rasheed wallace. i will probably cop some af1′s in a month or two. just gotta find the right pair.
oh yeah, hey nike, please bring back the nikes with the small jewel swoosh logo on the sides. heads know what i’m talking about.

i think its a real shame how some of you would consider this pair hot. i bet that if this was a general release and not a pair created at mercer, people wouldn’t be saying the same thing. My honest opinion, dropping hundreds of dollars on pair doesn’t make it hot. The creator could have dropped $80 and would still receive the same response for me.

yoo yoo im the designer … people are right, no hating here they didnt come out as nice as expected. The picture on the card and my idea of how they would look r different then how they came. Not extrememly happy with the finished product but i still like em i just have to put my black laces on or get laces to match that blue … my next pair will be much nicer nothing to worry about
