Reebok ZigTech

Reebok Zig Tech

Just a bit ago, we saw the debut of Reebok’s ZigTech footwear. While the commercial focused more on certain NFL athletes’ acting prowess than the shoes themselves, what we have here is a detailed look at this new line.

The ZigTech sole is far from subtle. Large waves of what looks to be injected foam are used for support. Similar to Nike Free, the design looks to be intended to increase flexibility and comfort for the wearer, as well as conserve energy while in motion. On this particular pair, red is used on both the sole and the liner. The entire upper is done in black, with bits of patent leather on the toe and heel. The large Vector logo along the side looks to be done with a shiny rubber. More information is expected to surface soon, so stay tuned for more when it becomes available.

After seeing ‘The Situation’ from Jersey Shore wearing these, I’m convinced I want no part of ‘em! Done talk.

  • Mr. Willson

^^^Aw damnit…I was looking forward to purchasing these as well. Dah well. I’m sure I can pull ‘em off better than that clown. I’m way down in GA, so I might get ‘em anyway. *lol* :P

  • fillup703

i would never wear these. they look too weird.

  • SkeeMazk

I have the gasoline, who has the matches?

  • bishopp

they are not bad lookin. have to see them in person though. at least someone stepped out of the box for once.

  • jackburton

This looks like a weekend project from a four year old and some play-doh.

  • RodJ83

These are very unpleasing, but they are also very comfortable… Def not made for fashion. Tried them on a few months back, worth it if you just want to workout in them.

  • rafi215

These are so rediculous looking, but from a flexibility stand-up I get it. It’s just that they are so damn ugly LOL……..sooooooooooooo…..Nope.

  • Phlash

id buy them and rock them for $20

  • d.knott01(detroit fresh)

SCROLLING DOWN THE COMMENTS SECTION AND SAW THE HATE FOR THESE. I ON THE OTHER HAND LIKE THESE AND UNLESS THEY LOOK AND FIT WAY AWKWARD IN PERSON I COULD PULL THESE OFF IN A CASUALL SETTING. THEN I SEE THAT “THE SITUATION” HAS BEEN ROCKING THESE. URGHHH! MITE STILL HAVE TO GO WITH THEM THOUGH.

  • fashion.junkies.united

New Balance 992′s get the job done everytime for running and all that and the comfort is crazy, all this just looks foolish

  • jimmy

LMAO. i try really hard to like reebok but man this is just disgusting

  • greenmaker24

    the zigtech looks so weird

  • solesaved

    NOPE!

  • Rafael Gonzalez

    omg, i just thru up

  • pip

    Crap Crap Crap

  • L.4.D.G.

I like them, if they had a Swoosh or Jumpman on there would be nothing but praise from you hypebeasts. At least they aren’t releasing generic looking crap like Jordan Brand has been doing as of late.

  • ToK

    i like them

  • pho_king4lif

    these cud be real comfy
but at the same time look too flimsy like the sole would fall off n look like they belonged that way somehow haha

  • Winse

These look so weird but yet I want to run in them cuz these are RBKs version of Nike Shox

  • jon centeno

    @winse

you stupid retard..this is not a reebok version of the nike shox!!! can’t you read? NIKE MUTHAF*CKIN FREEEEE!

    btw, these are FUGLY

  • T

Honestly this is the best looking Reebok upper I’ve seen in years.

Its too bad they had they went and accented it with a squiggly line.

  • Alex

i hate reebok more than anything, but i have to give them credit its something we havent seen before, i wont ever buy them cuz they are reebok, but if they were nike, id get them.

  • bob g

If these were Nike’s all these kids would be begging their mom’s to buy them

  • Styles

    DIS!!!!!!!!!GUSTING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • pup

This looks like a gimmick shoe, Reebok is trying to hard.

  • Frank

i like them…but i didnt have to know that “the situation” rocked them, def. lost point because of that. But i still look forward to having a new pair of shoes for the gym, and these look like the right pair

  • ate ohh won

haterssss. i like em. hopefully they perform well cuz i really wanna try em out

  • paguy

got a pair(dont ask how, connected….), and pretty comfy…, the only drawback is those asswipes from jersey shore plugging them………

  • Jay

Try em on, they feel awesome and the technology works (like a slinky transfers NRG). Reebok is HOT right now owning the TONING footwear market and these ZIGs will be BIG!

  • Nub

    AWESOME!!!! I LOVE MINE.

  • Hugh

the situation is hilarious. i love these and i would buy them for sure

  • ronruns

Is there FUNCTIONAL technology for energy absorbtion and rebound which would be important for SERIOUS distance runners? The design and appearance is trivial if the technology works.

  • killabeez

These should be called “The Wackness” – Reebok, just pay me to design u some kix and MAYBE, 1 day, u’ll finally get back the market share that u once had in the 80′s!! These look like a desperate attempt at a Nike Shox, but SO far off!! Cool colorway and upper, but I could just see a rock or 2 gettin caught in the weird zig-zags! Close but DEF. NO cigar!!

  • RWJ

I have a pair and love them. I’ve run on them for short runs of 4 to 10 miles. I found that they worked as promised. I felt less fatigue in my legs and I felt like the shoes pushed me forward. I agree they are a little different looking but I have to give Reebok credit…i like the technology. I’ll be buy additional pairs.

  • Rathjen

I tried these shoes for one run. Unless they have a severe break in period this shoes feel like a brick and have no custion and too much heel, not unlike Nike Shox. They appear to be made well, and look very cool, but a 3 mile run made me wishing I was wearing my Nike Lunarglide from the start. I purchased them, as I need neutral cushioning types of shoes. These really don’t have much cushion at all. As for training the stiffness might be good, but for running, not for me. I feel better running barefoot than in the Zigtech.

  • tultraximo

i just bought a pair these are the shi* for fashion and for fitness… h8rssssss
