One of James Worthy’s signature sneakers, the New Balance BB790, is experiencing a retro return and it will re-release this month. Those who followed Big Game James when he was in the League will recognize the white/purple/yellow colorway from Worthy’s Lakers days. This BB790 Retro will also release in three other colorways: white/green, white/navy blue/red, and white/royal blue/orange. The latter two colorways will release in March.

All the make-ups will retail for $80. Imagine that, a sub-$100 retro. Hit the jump for a look at all four colorways and please excuse the blurry images as they are enlarged catalogue scans. Then move on to our James Worthy page to learn a little more about the man and his sneakers.

oh man – these shoes bring back memories.
my brother had these as high school team shoes (although his were white with grey trim) and I’d “borrow” them constantly even though I had to wear them with 2 pairs of really thick socks lol..

these remind me of the 60 pluses stiching and the tounge is exactly the same as the on the 7′s and kinna similar to the pluses…..fresh back in the day not the same story in 2010 though…
