 Who else remembers all of the Protege sneaker ads/commercials throughout the latter half of last season and into the summer? Al Harrington, the creator and founder of Protege, heavily endorsed this newly-designed brand and had a few players in the NBA sporting this shoe such as Stephen Jackson and Ron Artest. However, since the beginning of this year, we have yet to see Al and the aforementioned players wearing the Protege sneakers. Harrington and Jackson have been wearing Nike shoes, while Artest has been rocking Peak kicks. Does this mean that Protege flopped? After all of the promotion and marketing of Protege, it is very odd that there are no Protege sneakers visible on the court. Obviously, the affordable Starbury came and went in the blink of an eye.
