Over the next few days, Complex will unleash its top 3 sneakers of 2009. Coming in at the number 3 spot is the Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam”. Many of you may feel that this is the best release of 2009 seeing that it was arguably the most anticipated of this year. Man I lost respect for the list makers. I though they would be objective but I know they are gonna put the NSW Gucci’s on there before the Space Jams and while I have that shoe it is not anywhere near the Jams on any level. I know the Patta’s will be on there too and they are not better in any way than the Jams either. It’s just an opinionated list but disappointing from a bunch of shoe lovers.

WOW! What a waste of f’n time. At least say something intelligent or give a reason why you like the shoe. These definitely should have been number 1. I can’t picture anything else that came out this year that was better or more anticipated. Weak ish!

I totally disagree no way should the space jams rank number 3, I was lucky to be able to cop a pair and not be raped by paying a arm and leg for them and being robbed after I left the store, the only shoe that could be number 1 would have to be the yeezy’s which I also have but the jams number 3 no way.

It is a all black shoe with a icey sole. a sole that won’t stay clear for too long. I understand it has significant history (if that’s the reason for one’s lust for this shoe then understand completely). but come on, top 3? this would barely make my top 10. I must have missed the memo, if this ranking is based on the most anticipated shoe of the year then it should be number 1, at worst 2 (because of how quickly it sold out compared to other releases this year). But if this ranking is based on the best designed shoe to released this year, idk if it should even make top 10. when you are not bias about your ranking, the space jam is easily not a top 10 hott shoe for this year. Judging from this video,–sneaker loving/collecting is all about being bias.

Space Jams were crazy hype, but everyones just mad they’re not at the top cos they only just spent all their xmas money on em. Real hot right now, but in a few years people will be saying…… remember in 09 when jordan put out a bunch of classic colourways like space jam, flu game and tru blue.. and they all fell apart cos JB made them as cheap as they could…..thats why they cant be any higher.
The patta air max 1s tho……. better quality materials,better design and a better shoe. Don’t sleep on AM1′s every sneakerhead should own at least 5 or 6 different ones imo.
and the LeBron VII’s are probably the best looking hoops shoe to come out since the OG XI’s first dropped, and a brand new shoe for the year HAS to get the nod over a retro that is simply cashing in off all our nostalgic memories of a player/movie.
