Throwback Thursday: An Ode to Bo Jackson Trainers

botr3trainer3 Nike Air Trainer 3- Bo’s reach was expanding as the modern era’s first 2-sport super star. His legend was growing as the most complete athlete in the world. With a resume consisting of a 2 state decathlon titles, a Heisman trophy, a Yankee’s draft pick, and the fastest 40 time ever recorded at the NFL Combine (4.12) the title seemed to fit. It was clear Bo was spending time in the weight room and on the track.

Nike supplied Bo with the Trainer 3, an updated version of the previous two models showcasing visible air and rubber side support. With a silhouette reminiscent of the Air Alpha Force, the Trainer 3 was a comfortable ride suitable for all surfaces. Weight training inspired the popular “Medicine Ball” colorway that Spike Lee donned in Do the Right Thing. Almost two decades later the world of film would touch the Trainer 3 again as they were featured in the famous Transformers pack.

The trainer iii *medicine balls* is the the trainer sc1 and you have the trainer sc iii *auburns* as the trainer sc1 so the sc series dropped the forefoot strap at the end of the sc series wich is the sc iii and the sc ii is 89′/90′ but great reading and info.
