Grant Hill Grant Hill’s basketball prowess was immortalized before he even got to the league. Hill solidified himself in college basketball history with his famous assist to Christian Laettner with 2.1 seconds remaining in the ’92 NCAA Tournament. This play not only brought Duke a win over Kentucky in a 1992 NCAA tournament regional final, but was also an indication of Grant’s clutch plays to come. The Pistons selected Hill with the third overall pick in 1994. Grant was an immediate impact player with a first season average stat line of 19.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.8 steals. At the end of his rookie season Hill was properly rewarded for his work with Co-Rookie of the Year honors alongside Jason Kidd. After leaving Detroit in 2000, Hill served the Magic for six seasons and then was traded to the Suns in 2007. Grant Hill’s first contribution to the basketball shoe world was his signature line with Fila. This signature line included five different models that were heavily revered by the streets. Around the time of his departure from Detroit, Hill also left Fila and signed with Adidas. This contract lasted through his tenure with Orlando and into his stay in Phoenix until just recently when he switched up to Nike.

    Grant Hill drinks Sprite!?…lol..Those are classics!! I grabbed a pair of the GH2′s from Finishline for the low-low. I’m giving my man Melo the ribbon on this forum tho. Being signed to JB has it’s advantages as you can see. I’m not a fan of his signature shoes tho. They always seem to miss the mark on design. Dr. J is just classic retro tho. I need a pair of the Converse Pro’s. Jordan rocked a white/carolina blue pair in college. (Look at his last shot photo in the NCAA finals)……nice!

    these days top payers just get too many signature shoes. Melo is going into his 6th or 7th year and already has 6 of his own shoes out and none of them have been that great…….. Dr J had one……

    and oh yeah, the GH2′s are siick. i had the GH1s wen i was a lil yungun, i diddnt even know who grant hill was.

    lmnop, some of these guys, hill-kemp-penny, would also have a huge sig line, but they couldn’t stay healthy enough. Also I don’t think anyone from docs time had a long sig line

    all i have read on this is that the look of the melo’s are whack…but have any of you tried his sig shoes?? when it comes to ball shoes…they are one of the most comfortable shoes…to me this shoe serves more for function than fashion…but i bet half of the ppl here just wanna look good on the floor vs. feeling comfortable and more than half the time ppl wanna look good on the floor is cuz they cant ball…thats the general feedback im getting…

    damn melo pe’s 10 and 20 are sick! IN MY OPINION IF THEY PUT DR.J AS THE “LEGENDARY” THEY SHOULD PUT DOMINIC WILKINS AS PAST AND VINCE CARTER AS PRESENT… it will have more logic than this one because they are the best dunkers of all time

    Grant Hill is the absolute best. I grew up idolizing that man and still have the greatest amount of respect for the guy. HOF for sure if he hadn’t been injured year after year…

    I remember I was the first person on campus with the GH1′s!! Everybody loved them. IDK but they were hittin in 95!….The Melo PE line is gorgeous!
