From the same artist who did the Doernbecher Freestyle Art Collection comes this Nike Air Yeezy piece of work.

Like the other pieces artist Krupky did, he had only one shot at this, even though it meant destroying one of the decade’s biggest sneakers. Krupky turned the Air Yeezy’s into something that actually flies–an airplane. Uppers serve as wings, soles as the cabin and the laceholders even look like jet afterburners. The stand lights up like a runway in the dark, just like the Yeezy soles. This is the final piece of the Doernbecher freestyle collection, with proceeds from its sale going to the children’s hospital.

Off topic, why doesn’t NK do a feature on sitcom stars who rocked Nikes/Jordans on their TV shows. Immediately Jerry Seinfeld and Fresh Prince come to mind. Those dudes wore some of the best OG sneaks at the times when they were fresh, I remember Fresh Prince wore the Bo Jackson ’91 Trainer Max with a tuxedo and often rocked the Black Jordan 5s and Seinfeld wore numerous Nike Trainers, Air Maxs, Tech Challenge Andre Agassis, Air Jordans (white Jordan 7s and 6s especially) to name a few. That would be a great feature!
