Supra Skytop for Fall

The Supra Skytop has exploded in recent months, as everyone from skaters to rappers have jumped on this super-high top silhouette. And the color treatments have been pretty wild, including this studded Lil Wayne exclusive. But for Fall 2009, Supra is headed a different direction, as seen in these three colorways.

Consisting of a red, grey and dark grey model, the Fall lineup is pretty simple for the sometimes obnoxious Skytop. The almost-black and grey colorways use matching vulcanized soles, maintaining a nearly monotone build. The woven material makes for a matte finish that looks almost militaristic, and should work great in the upcoming cooler months. The third model sticks out against the other two, as it is bright red leather with a touch of black patent leather on the heel, all on a white vulcanized sole. Could this be a tip of the hat to the late Michael Jackson’s ever-famous jacket? Whether speculation will prove true or not is up in the air, but this lineup is a nice take on a shoe that was headed down a pretty wild path not too long ago.

Fall season is full of heat! These are just following the trend of the season of being more low-key rather than the summer looks of being outrageous. When do these drop? I like the two greys…instead of these red joints I’d pick up the Red Nice Kicks x Asics joints!

Hit Finish Line & cop that pump foam they have. That, a short bristle tooth brush, and a damp cloth and your white soles will thank you.
