Last week, we noticed Bape doing away with the vivid, loud colorways for once in exchange for the subtle Woodland Camo Bapesta that is now available at their online store. In addition, Bape has now released their latest model dubbed the Crape at the online store as well.

The Crape is very similar to the Puma Clyde model. However, in substitute of the Puma emblem, this sneaker is complimented with the Bape star insignia in its place. Bape is offering this sneaker in three colorways: blue, orange, and black. As an added feature, all three are finished with a white sole. Click here to view the Crape lineup in its entirety.

Ok, so I’m going to give BAPE some credit. I’m glad they changed it up a bit b/c the normal colorways are way too loud. I “kinda” like the orange ones. Phat laces are a nice touch.

i understand now. bape’s are not supposed to be dope anymore. they are just a way for dudes/chicks with paper (or those that want to look like they have paper) to stunt on folks by rocking uber expensive versions of existing kicks sans the original logo but with the bape logo added. i will no longer hate or voice my disgust. bape is not trying to be original and i don’t think they ever were really, at least when it comes to sneaks. i respect the hustle.

first they jack the air force 1 template now puma clydes. they need to come up with their own designs rather than copy someone elses then just add their ugly ass star logo on it.

they’re not blazers, they’re clydes. pay attention.
bape’s big selling point at first was their crazy materials and colorways. nobody cared that they were just AF1s with a different logo. but now other brands are doing bigger and better stuff while bape just keeps pumping out knockoffs of other companies’ kicks with the star logo and charging a whole lot more for them.

i barely pay any attention to puma news so im not really familiar with their models. but after going and checking them out i see that these definitely took that design. why pay a rediculous amout of money for a copy that looks no better and costs way more than the original.

I know Bathing Ape is coming with new ideas but lets stop it with the spoofs you had a nice run with the Bapes and A-F1 dealio lets go with what our minds say not with something thats already established itself and can sue the hell out of your company and everything your worth.

bape can’t be sued, really. they’re not using patented technology or trademarked logos. you can’t copyright the shoe itself, either. do you really Nike would have hesitated to destroy Bape years ago, if they had the option?

Nike already tried to sue and lost i belive it was about a1 year&half ago maybe two. The judge ruled in favor of bape saying some of the same thing JG said in his comment they not using the swoosh itself which is trademarked and you can’t really sue for the style makeup of the shoe even if we all know where Nigo got his ideas from and he’s XEROXED adidias in the past too so why not puma too. As someone already said can’t knock his hustle but it’s not your hustle if you just coping something that already been done and been out for years Nike AF1, Puma Clydes , Adidas Shelltoes.

I never got why people think Bape and clothing lines like Kid Robot are “Cool”…I don’t follow trends and Bape to me is a trend. How wack is wearing a shoe that rips off another shoe. These look like something I can buy at pay-less. I don’t get it and shake my head everytime I see someone with Bape on. Even the fake bape, its like come on now..
