Never released publicly, the original Mister Cartoon Air Force 1 was only available to select friends and family of Los Angeles’ most celebrated tattoo artist. Immediately the shoe was acknowledged as an instant classic and eagerly sought out by die-hard fans. Comprehensively re-designed by Mister Cartoon for this release, the new look AF1 again deploys laser technology to provide the gritty graphics reflecting its city of origin.
The Livestrong x Mister Cartoon x Nike Sportswear Air Force 1 returned to the roots and debuted at Mister Cartoon’s tattoo shop The Last Laugh before releasing at an exclusive group of Nike Sportswear retailers on July 4, 2009.
